One more Universal tamper Plasser 08-4×4/S and three Universal Ballastregulator Ballastmaster 410

Another major step has been taken towards expanding the Swedish and Norwegian yellow fleet. An additional universal tamping machine of the type 08-4×4/4S – the Swiss Army knife of railway maintenance – has been ordered, together with three new universal ballast regulators of the latest and most advanced standard, the BallastMaster 410.

With these new machines, another important step has been taken towards fleet standardization. Operating a larger number of machines based on the same platform simplifies training, maintenance, spare parts management, and software updates. It also makes the implementation of future technologies, such as ETCS (European Train Control System), more efficient and cost-effective, as solutions can be developed, tested, and deployed across multiple machines with minimal adaptation.

We are very much looking forward to receiving these machines in 2027 and putting them into operation across Sweden and Norway..
